Celebrity Bartenders Support Little Friends

Naperville’s stars staffed the bar at The Craftsman for charity.

Little Friends kicked off their annual holiday Giving Tree fundraiser with a bang in their “Celebrity Bartending Showdown.”

Ray Kinney of Minute Man Press and Dan Casey of Casey’s Foods put together two teams of Naperville notables, including Danielle Tufano of 95.9 the River, Mayor Steve Chirico, and Jim Ebel, owner of The Craftsman himself.

Each team competed to earn more tips than the other, all of which would go to Little Friends for the Giving Tree program.

“The Giving Tree program has become all encompassing to support those families, and there are 19 this year, we have identified as true crisis,” said Kristi Landorf, President and CEO of Little Friends. “So all the money we raise tonight goes to supporting those families.”

Giving Trees are located in several Naperville businesses and are decorated with tags with gift requests from individuals Little Friends serves. Visitors can take a tag, buy and wrap the gift listed on it, and bring it back to donate it.

Those who missed the fun can still support the fundraiser by visiting one of the Giving Trees this holiday season.
