Look up in the sky…It’s a bird…It’s a plane… It’s superhero kids!
Children recently got a chance to channel their inner superhero and created capes at the DuPage Children’s Museum.
They were able to express their own special traits through drawing and coloring. Employees had a goal to make kids realize that they can even be superheros.
Staff also hoped that the kids would be able to take away skills they could use in the future.
“It’s what we’re seeing that they’re drawing,” said Marcia MaCrae, Interdisciplinary Art’s Specialist of the DuPage Children’s Museum. “They’re starting to make connections between ideas in their mind like I’m a super big sister, and what that would look like if a drew it.”
Super sisters, super brothers, super counters, and super runners were a few ideas the children were able to come up with.
