The Cantigny Greenhouse is getting in the holiday spirit with their second annual Shades of Crimson display and sale.
More than 3,000 poinsettias were blossoming and not just the traditional red ones; there were also pink, white and a few multi-colored.
For many visitors it was the start to their holiday decorating.
“They are just a sign of Christmas and you have to have a poinsettia to start the holiday with and decorate your house, said Nancy Nicholson, Member of the Red Hat Society. It just says Christmas.”
“I like the multi-colored ones, said Pat Ulery, Member of the Red Hat Society. I think they are very pretty. I wish they would make purple ones.”
The plants are for sale to the public at the Cantigny Visitors Center Gift Shop or at the park’s Golf Shop.
