A local bookstore is helping make the season brighter. Anderson’s Bookshop is holding it’s annual Book Angel Tree Program. Each tree is decorated with tags that provide an individual’s name and age. Shoppers can come in a select a book for a child or buy a gift card for them to pick their own.
“That’s the message we want to send out there,” said Becky Anderson, owner of Anderson’s Bookshop. “This is the best thing you can do for any child is give them the love of reading and choosing the right book at the right time.”
Books will be delivered before Christmas to over ten humanitarian services and school districts throughout the Chicago-land area. This years’ goal is to give over 2,000 to needy children
