Big Year Ahead for Naperville Park District

Executive Director of the Naperville Park District Ray McGury called it the most aggressive year ahead of them, as the Park District prepares to work toward their goals for 2016.

Plans are already in motion, like the Fort Hill Activity Center, which is expected to open in the summer of next year.

Other goals came after the public wanted more from the Park District. Thanks to survey results, the Riverwalk Eatery will become the Riverwalk Café, with renovations being made to the entire building including adding a new patio and revamping the menu.

Coming soon there will be new software installed to help ease the process of online class registration called ActiveNet.

“The good news, because I know tax-payers, because I’m one of them- are concerned with how much money people are spending, particularly governments and the park district. We are merely fixing what we need to fix and as I said I want to leave the Park District in a better position than it was when I got here,” said Ray McGury, Executive Director of the Naperville Park District.

Other plans involve playground renovations, and a celebration to recognize the Park District’s 50th year anniversary.
