Midwest Fit Club Co-Founder Steve Arch knew he wanted to hold a fitness challenge, and do some good. So he decided on a 24 push up challenge.
Teams signed up for one hour segments, then team members alternated doing 10 push ups each until the hour was up. Because of Steve’s commitment to the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, picking the non-profit to donate to was easy.
Little Friends will get five cents for every push up. Donations were also collected.
Little Friends is a local not for profit that works with those with Autism and other mental disabilities.
Kids and adults participated in the event. After an hour of hard work teams usually racked up a couple thousand push ups, and a lot of laughs.
By the end of the 24-hour challenge community members did over 40,000 push ups and raised over $4,000 while getting fit for a good cause.
