At the latest Naperville Park Board Meeting, the board heard from staff about a new program the district is considering, bringing honeybees to the garden plots.
The proposed plan, costing around $8,000, will bring four new hives of bees to the area to encourage more natural pollination and to help educate residents about the importance of bees in nature.
The board will vote on the proposal at a future meeting.
