Apartment Fire

The Naperville Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at approximately 8:11 this evening, located on the 800 block of Beaumont Drive at Brittany Springs.

“Multiple residents called in and said there was a structure fire. We responded within five minutes and noticed that the apartment complex was fully engulfed in flames,” said Rick Sander, Deputy Chief of the Naperville Fire Department.

Approximately 24 firefighters arrived on scene along with three engines, two trucks, a squad car and two ambulances. Firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search to make sure all residents were safe and got the blaze under control.

“Once we’ve contained the fire, then we start looking for the hotspot where there might be hidden fires, to get out all the small areas of fire that might still be lingering,” added Sander.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and no one was injured, however all 16 unites of the apartment building are uninhabitable at this time.
