Sweet treats won’t be hard to find this season with a new frozen custard shop now in Naperville.
Andy’s Frozen Custard recently opened on the corner of 95th Street and Reflection Drive.
The custard is made with 10 percent butterfat, the minimum to be considered an ice cream. But with more egg yoke and less air added, it’s smoother and denser than it’s sweet counterpart.
“And then the other thing that’s probably a big difference is how we do what we do,” said Andy Kuntz, president of Andy’s Frozen Custard. “The love that we have, the technique, whether it’s the ‘made fresh hourly’ part, how we serve the product, how we blend the concretes…the love and the passion really.”
The current menu features seasonal specials like Candy Cane Crunch, Apple Pie Sundae, and Andy Nog shakes.
The drive-thru and walk-up shop is the seventh Andy’s in the Chicagoland area.
