All Aboard

The DuPage Children’s Museum recently unveiled their latest train exhibit.

After months of planning, the all aboard unit made its debut. Inspired by cubism and paintings like “Red Cross Train”, the display allows children to learn about trains through art.

As soon as the doors opened, kids moved from one area to another, using their hands and minds in this self-directed play place.

“The most rewarding part for me is when the kids are all over something, having fun, but also really learning,” said Peter Crabbe, director of exhibits.

From loading cargo on the crane to designing their own tracks, children enjoyed the new additions.

“It’s cool! I like the tickets in the ticket booth,” Celia Jefferson enthused.

This exhibit is an addition to the museum’s previous train display.
