A Chair Affair

Downtown Naperville is being decorated with one-of-a-kind artwork thanks to local artists and Bridge Communities.

20 chairs, stools, and benches have been redesigned and are on display in storefronts throughout downtown for the next three weeks.

“The artists take those pieces of furniture and restore it to this beautiful piece of art, the same way that we seek to restore hope for the families that are served at Bridge Communities as they are becoming self-sufficient and breaking free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness,” said Chad Pedigo, Special Event Manager with Bridge Communities.

Once you’ve had the chance to view the chairs, go online and vote for your favorite. Those opinions will be tallied along with panel input to come up with the top eight chairs, which you can then bid on at a live charity auction held at Wentz concert hall on June 9.

All proceeds raised will directly benefit homeless families in DuPage County.
