Park District Budget

At the latest meeting, the Park Board took a look at their accomplishments this year, and made way for the future.

The board approved their total proposed budget of $59.3 million, which includes $20.3 million in total capital projects.

Those include the Fort Hill Activity Center, and the revamp of the Riverwalk Café, both scheduled to open their doors in summer of 2016.

The Park District is funded primarily through two sources: a homeowners tax, which the park district gets 5% from and program fees.

Also in 2016, the park district will celebrate 50 years in Naperville.
