The state budget impasse has prompted 360 Youth Services’ counseling center to relocate their facility.
“So, we’ve typically been funded primarily by the state for the counseling services that we provide to at-risk youth in our community. Unfortunately, the state hasn’t made a payment in more than ten months,” said Katy Leclair, Chief Executive Officer of 360 Youth Services.
The organization decided a smaller space was worth keeping their services in full swing, so they moved to a location less than half a mile away.
“As we looked at what our needs truly were, the counseling rooms were our biggest priorities. So in the move we are going to lose our board room and our community room, but we’ll still have all of the counseling rooms, which are the most important for us,” added Leclair.
Naperville’s Prager Moving and Storage donated their services to help the counseling center shift spaces, and 360 was able to get a more affordable location by partnering with DynaCom Management.
360 Youth Services offers traditional therapy and counseling sessions and are the at-risk provider for nine local police stations and hospitals.
