At the recent DuPage County Board meeting, Chairman Dan Cronin unveiled the 2014 budget for the county.
The calculated spending plan comes in at $434.4 million, $3.1 million under the 2013 budget. And welcome news to residents – it won’t increase property taxes.
“We are constantly looking for ways to do more with less,” said Cronin. “We are constantly looking to reduce the expense side of the balance sheet.”
Also more than $85 million is designated to road construction, drainage, and storm water.
