This weekend proved to be a veggie good time for the hundreds that came out to the city’s 8th annual Veggie Fest.
Sponsored by and located at the Science of Spirituality, veggie fest teaches folks about vegetarian and vegan lifestyles through lectures, cooking demonstrations, and free samples.
More than 800 volunteers from around the world made the event possible, many serving up vegetarian entrées from different cultures at the festival’s international food court.
The kids also had some fun with a number of activities tailored for them, including arts and crafts and face painting, while everyone enjoyed live music.
Last year’s fest brought in roughly 25,000 people and organizers say they may exceed that this year.
The free festival is open tomorrow as well, from 11am to 8pm.
