D204 Adds Teachers, Mental Health Staff:

Indian Prairie School District 204 will be getting new teachers and additional mental health professionals for the 2019-2020 school year. The district’s draft budget includes three new mental health coordinators for each high school and 1.5 additional elementary mental health staff. The budget also includes 17 new elementary teachers who will work with larger classes and at risk students. The additions are a part of 204’s efforts to reduce class sizes and raise mental health awareness.

Naper Settlement has a sweet new exhibit. Milky Ways, Tootsie Rolls, and many more famous treats are all included in “Sweet Home Chicago: The History of America’s Candy Capital” traveling exhibit. From now until July 28, visitors can learn more about the tasty history of both Chicago and Naperville, which used to be home to the Amurol Products Company, developer of treats like Big League Chew.
