Full Day Preschool
Last night the District 203 Board of Education passed the Full Day Community Preschool tuition rate of $490 per month. This comes after the district was awarded three competitive early childhood grants, which will support the efforts to ensure that every child between birth to 5 years old receives high quality learning experiences, particularly those who are at-risk or in special education. The most notable addition the grants will bring 203 are the opening of four full-day early childhood classrooms for the 2018-19 school year, which will serve 65-70 students.
District 204’s First Day
A rainy morning couldn’t dampen the spirits of these kids and parents coming in for the first day back at May Watts Elementary School. Today, teachers and the principal played music and cheered as they welcomed students in for the new school year. Classes resume district-wide in 204 and kids are sure to face a day full of reunions, icebreakers, and maybe even some homework.
