The Naperville Police Department has released these images, of a man suspected of an armed robbery incident that occurred Saturday evening at a nail salon on East Ogden Avenue. The suspect entered the salon just before 6:30 p.m., showed a semi-automatic handgun, stole an undisclosed amount of money and also a 2004 Black Volvo SUV, and then fled eastbound on Ogden Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 420-6666.
And the police are also looking for this man, who passed multiple counterfeit bills at businesses across Naperville on Friday March 17. Anyone who has any information about the subject or the incident is asked to contact the Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. A $1,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest of the responsible party.
North Central’s TEDx
This Friday, North Central College will host their third annual TEDx event. Taking place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., the event will feature alumni and current student speakers, all focusing on the theme “Come to Your Senses.” Tickets can be purchased online or at the NCC box office and are $20 for the public, $10 if you have a North Central ID.
Soggy playing fields cancelled softball games for Neuqua Valley, Metea Valley and Benet yesterday, but Waubonsie Valley was able to get its game in over the weekend. The Warriors played host to Plainfield South and before the downpour of rain there was a downpour of hits. Despite trailing 2-0 early, Waubonsie came back and scored 17 of their own. Michele Calabrese had three hits and four RBIs, while Emily Olson got the win on the mound while helping her cause with four hits of her own. The Warriors pick up their first win at home 17-7.
