The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce held its first Business Unplugged event this morning, discussing what the future holds for the chamber. The new series of events is replacing traditional chamber luncheons with buffet-style food and panels meant to leave each attendee walking away with new knowledge. This was the first of five Business Unplugged events that will be held this year.
Park District Applies for Grant
Naperville Park District employees are making a trip down to Springfield today to apply for an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant, or OSLAD grant, for Southwest Community Park. The grant would provide up to $400,000 to the park, though the park district has already taken out $11 million in bonds for Phase I of development. Construction is set to begin this summer.
