Naperville Crossings Development
Fifty-five new townhomes are on their way to Naperville Crossings. Last night the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Lennar Homes’ project for the 5.3 acres located north of Anna Marie Lane and west of Showplace Drive. The area has sat vacant since at least 2004 and was rezoned this January to a Medium Density Residential District. A public commenter and some on the commission voiced concerns with traffic and the effect on Indian Prairie School District 204. However, the commission voted 7-1 in favor of the Naperville Crossings proposal for its design and consistency with the surrounding retail area. It now goes to Naperville City Council for final approval.

Naperville Athletes in the NFL
With the NFL kicking off its 100th season tonight at Soldier Field, let’s take a look at the Naperville natives who made NFL rosters this year. Naperville has produced many tight ends in recent years and that continues to be the case in 2019. Naperville North grad Matt Lacosse will be the starter for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Lacosse’s Huskie teammate James O’Shaughnessy will return for his third season as tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars after setting career highs in catches and yards a year ago. Waubonsie Valley grad Troy Fumagalli made the 53-man roster at tight end for the Denver Broncos after missing all of his rookie year due to injury. And Naperville Central graduate Cameron Brate is back for his sixth season as tight end with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not to be outdone, 1982 Naperville Central grad Sean Payton returns for his 14th season as head coach of the New Orleans Saints.
