Holzhauer Tops Million On Jeopardy:
Yesterday James Holzhauer became the second player in Jeopardy history to top the $1 million mark in total winnings. The Naperville native took home $118,816 in his 14th appearance on the show, bringing his total tally up to $1,061,554. What’s more, he currently holds the top seven spots in the program’s history for single-day-earnings. Jeopardy’s all time top winnings record belongs to Ken Jennings, who won $2.52 million on the show in 2004. Jennings took 33 games to break the $1 million mark, as compared to Holzhauer’s 14.
Naperville Neighbors United hosted its second diversity discussion last night. Several community leaders were there to listen and contribute to the conversation. Barbara O’Meara kicked things off with stories about her experiences in a same-sex relationship living in Naperville. She was followed by Mimi Cowan who discussed DACA and how some students in our community live in fear of being deported. After that, the crowd broke up into small groups to discuss inclusion and potential steps to make Naperville more welcoming.

Baby Bison at Fermilab:
It’s baby bison time at Fermilab! The first of the season was born on April 20th, and was grazing around the 80-acre pasture within days. The bison were brought to the particle physics laboratory to serve as a symbol of the lab being on the frontier of physics, much as the bison represent the frontier of the wild west. Several more calves should be born within the next several weeks. You can come see them for yourself free of charge between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., all you need is a photo I.D.
