Driver Charged in Car Crash

A Lisle man has been charged with multiple crimes after he crashed his car into a traffic signal on October 4, splitting it in two. Robert Skura, 47, has been charged with reckless driving, speeding 35mph over the posted speed limit, disobeying a traffic signal, improper lane usage, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. Skura was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital after the crash.

Halloween Wrap Up

This past weekend was filled with spooky Halloween events. Downtown Naperville’s Halloween Hop brought in hundreds of families who trick-or-treated their way around the area. Decked out in costumes, kids were able to collect candy at different businesses including Egg Harbor, Anderson’s Bookshop, Two Bostons, and more.

Another event was the Naperville Park District’s Halloween Happening. And it’s not just collecting candy – the annual event celebrates all things Halloween. There were games, hayrides, and even a stage performance. And of course, you couldn’t miss out on a spooky photo op.

NaperLights on Water Street

NaperLights will brighten up Downtown Naperville with some festive cheer at a new location. The Rotary Club of Sunrise Naperville’s light display will move from Naper Settlement to Water Street between Webster Street and Main Street. The light display will include several lit-up figures coordinated with music. On December 20, the community will also be invited for caroling under the Great Tree located at the corner of Main and Water Streets.

Girls Tennis at State
