CityGate Apartments Approved
Last night the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a 285-unit apartment building with a 38,000 square-foot roof-level event center to be built at CityGate Centre. The empty five acres on the northeast corner of Westings Avenue and CityGate Lane will become a five story, multi-family complex and will include an enclosed pedestrian walkway to connect to the CityGate Centre buildings to the north. The development will be owned and operated by Calamos Group. The commission voted in favor of the proposal for its cohesive design with the surrounding buildings. Now it goes to Naperville City Council for final approval.

Amazing 6th Grade Race
An amazing race took place yesterday at Gregory Middle School. For the second year in a row, “The Amazing Sixth Grade Race” was held to help sixth graders’ transition from elementary to middle school. Students ran through the halls hitting key locations: the gym, the nurses’ office, the cafeteria, and the library. Teams completed tasks and challenges to unlock clues to their next destination. A winner was crowned, but everyone walked away feeling more confident about the upcoming school year.
