Lauren De Simone works as a development professional for Family Shelter Service where her primary focus is annual giving, donor/board relations, volunteer management, and database administration. Over the past eight years, Lauren has worked with a variety of non-profits, including the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Naperville Heritage Society/Naper Settlement and North Central College. She is an active member of the Naperville YMCA Board of Directors, the Naperville Jaycees, the Young Professionals of Naperville, and is a founding member of the new Exchange Club of DuPage County where she serves as President-Elect.
Lauren also serves on the planning committee for The Legacy Circle, an initiative of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce that is involved in the development of a new multigenerational, dual-mentorship program. Lauren was recently selected to be a fellow of the Community Memorial Foundation’s 2016 “Ladder to Leadership” Program in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership. Her passion for leadership and professional development stems from her days at North Central College (’07). In her spare time, she enjoys helping with Magical Starlight Theatre productions and traveling.
