Meet Kathleen Anderson
Kathleen Anderson is the first woman to be appointed as a deputy chief within the Naperville Police Department. She is a 25-year veteran of the department. Her previous positions include field training officer, youth investigator, patrol, training sergeant, school resource officer, and head of the youth investigations and social services units. She earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Lewis University and graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command in 2017.
Being the first female deputy chief, Anderson thanks to the women before her who paved the way for equality in the workplace. She takes pride knowing her position was earned on merit and not gender.
