NCTV17’s core value is education. NCTV17 is deeply committed to educating the next generation of broadcast professionals. As part of that commitment, year-round internships are available. To be eligible for an NCTV17 internship, applicants must be a resident of Naperville or a student currently enrolled in Naperville Community Unit School District 203, Indian Prairie School District 204, or North Central College.
Interns gain hands-on experience and learn skills that reach beyond the technology and help shape them as well-informed and educated citizens. No prior experience is necessary, but interns must have a can-do attitude and possess an interest in television. High School students may be interns for up to two years and then will need to re-apply if under 18 years of age or apply to become Community Crew if older than 18 years of age. College interns must commit 10-20 hours per week as they prepare for an entry-level job in the television industry. College graduates are eligible for an internship up to one year past graduation.
