The Play For All Playground & Garden Foundation is a 501C3 organization formed to create a playground for all children to play regardless of any barriers. The Sensory Garden Playground is located in the heart of DuPage County Forest Preserve’s Danada South area and includes a variety of opportunities for children to play with physical barriers and or those with autism or other special needs. The total $2.5 million playground project is free of charge facility that is being fully funded through individuals, corporations, grants or other community groups. The project was broken down into 5 individual phases with the first phase being completed in 2015. This phase currently includes a central gathering area, sound garden, fragrance garden and a two to five year-old playground. The foundation is comprised of several partner organizations to include Wheaton Park District, Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, Kiwanis of Wheaton, Forest Preserve of DuPage County and Shane’s Inspiration. The foundation is currently focusing on fundraising for the second phase of the project which is an accessible tree house.
