Parents enjoyed a first hand look at the new equipment while children tested out the park’s features.
The design was based on feedback from neighbors and groups that will use the equipment regularly. It features a rock climbing wall and sand area that appeal to kids of all ages.
The project planners are pleased with the final outcome of their efforts.
“It’s a great feeling to see all the hard work pay off,” said Project Manager Jessica Burgdorf, “and to see it go from a piece of paper with black lines to this.”
Naperville Park District will be unveiling even more projects in the next year. They say two other playgrounds should be completed by late summer or early fall.
