A Naperville chiropractor has prepared for the last three years to help train athletes at the Olympic games.
Doctor Matt Milonas is one of more than a hundred specially-trained chiropractors the U.S.A. Olympic team has contracted as support staff.
Their goal is to keep athletes in peak physical and mental condition as they compete in London and hopefully bring home the gold.
“The most important thing that a body will ever need is proper alignment cause without proper alignment, it doesn’t matter the food you eat, the way you exercise or the way you train,” said Milonas. “If the message from the brain that’s telling the body how to function is not getting there at 100%, then there’s going to be a plateau. We don’t want them having that plateau.”
Not only will they offer adjustments to competitors, but nutrition, exercise and detoxification as well.
Milonas will use many of the same methods he uses on ordinary clients to help the U.S.A. wrestling, weightlifting, judo, and Paralympics teams reach their full potential.
