The DuPage County Board recently approved a contract to lease the old juvenile detention facility to Joseph Academy- a not for profit organization that provides one on one education for students through 8th grade with social, academic and vocational problems.
The two parties agreed on a $560,000 a year, four year contract .
Joseph Academy will take over the building August 1st and after a few minor renovations, begin school on Thursday, September 6th.
