The Bar Method is a work-out that uses a ballet bar as a prop, which helps target all major muscle groups and improves posture. Students are instructed through intense one-hour classes that require isometrics and stability.
Owner Stephanie Norris says students find it harder than they thought it would be and different from the typical gym.
The classes are based on the same fitness routine dancers use, which burns fat, builds muscle, and improves balance.
“You see results quickly which makes it so addicting,” said Emma Jordan, Owner and Instructor at The Bar Method. “Also, we do a lot of stretching so you’re elongating your muscles while also toning them at the same time.”
The Bar Method is also popular among celebrities like Zooey Deschanel and Drew Barrymore.
