NCTV17 is deeply committed to educating the next generation of broadcast professionals. As part of that commitment, year-round internships are offered at both the high school and college level. At both levels, a Naperville Community Television internship is offered in three diverse tracks and more importantly, the interns gain hands on experience. Interns have the option of choosing news, sports, or general television production.

No prior experience is necessary but interns must have a good attitude and possess an interest in television. High school students must show maturity and commit 5-10 hours per week. College students will expand on their skill sets and be given “real world” experience. College interns must commit 10-20 hours per week or more, as they prepare for an entry level job in the television industry. NCTV17 interns of the past few years have gone on to pursue careers in television production, broadcast journalism, or communication at larger organizations including CNN and ABC.
