Our campers study and perform chamber music in small ensembles with other young musicians who share their enthusiasm and skill level. OPUS Camp offers a rare opportunity for students to experience a high level of instruction and individualized attention while working in small ensembles. Our ratio of 1 teacher for every 3-5 students accounts in part for the tremendous growth and development our campers experience during one week at camp. The study of chamber music develops teamwork and draws on the individual strengths of each player. As a result, students are inspired to strive for excellence while making new friends. The OPUS Camp culminates with Listen to Our Young Artists, a free concert open to the public, and held in the evening of August 6th, at Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville. As part of our mission to instill the value of service to their community, our camper’s have the opportunity to perform at Edward Hospital, during the week following camp, through the Edward Hospital Healing Arts program.
