Twilight Series Comes to a Close
“Breaking Dawn” Released With a Boom

The recent release of the fourth and final novel of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series excited many residents throughout Naperville.

On August 2, 2008, Anderson’s bookshop downtown hosted a late-night event in which many gathered in anticipation of “Breaking Dawn,” the last novel of the series.

“I just love the series. I like how it’s really romantic. It’s suspenseful and adventurous and it really hooks readers,” 13-year-old Ally Grevenites of Naperville said.

Wondering what the Twilight books are all about? From a dream that Meyer had in 2003 comes the fantasy tale of Bella Swan and handsome vampire Edward Cullen. The two fall in love, but Edward struggles with his natural urge to kill her and drink her blood. Exciting twists and turns make the four novels page-turners and enthrall many young girls, teenagers, and adults across the country.

“My favorite part is of course Bella and the love story, but I also like the legends of the vampires and werewolfs. It interests me because I like sci-fi stuff and fantasy,” said Sam Didier, 13 of Bolingbrook.

Will Bella end up with Edward or Jacob? Many hopeful fans say they are in favor of her ending up with Edward and becoming a vampire herself. Now that “Breaking Dawn” has been released, all the questions that readers have will be answered.
