Tom Carroll has twenty five years of human resources experience focusing on leadership development, employee relations and benefits/compensation management. Previously to working for the Fortune 300 Chicago based company RR Donnelley as the Chief Human Resource Officer, Tom worked in a not-for-profit hospital and social service agency. Tom currently serves on the boards of the: Naperville Area Humane Society, Naperville YMCA, Turning Pointe Foundation, and Chicago Public Library Foundation. Tom graduated with his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University. He and his wife have three grown children and have been Naperville residents for more than 18 years.
Kamala L. Martinez
Kamala Martinez is a corporate executive at a Fortune 500 company with over 25 years business development and management experience. She holds a number of board positions for not-for-profit organizations and previously served eight years as an elected Precinct Committeeman, Finance Chairperson, and a Recording Secretary for the Wheatland Township Republican Organization. She has been active in her church and PTA, an advocate for children’s causes, a proponent of empowering women and promoting diversity. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Broadcasting. She is a resident of Naperville with her husband their son.
Patrick Branham is the Chief Financial Officer of Aftermath Services LLC headquartered in Aurora. He has over 20 years of experience including extensive experience leading the finance, accounting, human resource, and legal operations of high growth organizations. Prior to joining Aftermath he was Chief Financial Officer of Raxsussen College for 10 years where he helped the College through tremendous growth. Prior to joining Raxsussen he was a Senior Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Ernst & Young, a Big 4 public accounting firm. He is a CPA and earned a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and a MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Patrick lives in Naperville with his wife and three children.

Gerry Cassioppi is managing partner of Nyberg & Cassioppi, focusing on corporate and transactional legal matters. Following his graduation from University of Illinois’ business and law schools, as a CPA and attorney, Gerry has worked with Fortune 100 Companies and start-ups in the Chicago area for over 30 years. Gerry is presently DuPage County’s Ethics Commission Chair, President Elect (Third Vice President) of the DuPage County Bar Association, and a Director of Choose DuPage. He was the DCBA Lawyer of the Year for 2012, and previously served on the District 203 School Board and Naperville’s Transportation Board. Gerry and his wife Stephanie have lived in Naperville for 25 years with their two sons, and been actively involved in a variety of community matters.
Ann Edmonds is an attorney with the Naperville firm of Dommermuth, Cobine, West, Gensler, Philipchuck, Corrigan and Bernard, Ltd. Ann has a Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School and a BA from Washburn University. She has over 20 years of experience as an attorney in the field of construction law, land use and zoning, real estate, insurance coverage and commercial litigation. Ann has served as Naperville Planning Commissioner and Naperville Historic Sites Commissioner and is active with the American Planning Association and the Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations. Naperville has been home to Ann and her two daughters for the past 17 years.
Laura Gaskill is Principal of Gaskill Creative, a boutique marketing and communications agency located in downtown Naperville. Prior to founding the firm, she served as Director of Marketing & Communications for the Urgent Care Association of America, the representative body for healthcare professionals in the urgent care field. Laura graduated from Monmouth College in Illinois with a Bachelor’s’ degree in Public Relations. She is a lifelong resident of Naperville, and, together with her husband, is enjoying raising two young boys in her hometown.
Shirley Hill is National Director of Distribution Sales & Donor Development for Total Living Network, headquartered in Aurora. Prior to TLN, she served as Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales for Fox Family Channel, and has over twenty years of experience in the cable television industry in affiliate sales, promotion and marketing. Shirley is active in various industry associations and has been President of the local Women in Cable & Telecommunications and Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing chapters. She graduated from Taylor University in Indiana with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Shirley and her husband are Naperville residents, are active in leadership in their church and enjoy the rich variety of community involvement & recreational opportunities Naperville has to offer.
MIchele Hilger is a sales counselor at Monarch Landing Retirement Community in Naperville. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health Communications from Grand Valley State University and holds a Master’s of Business Administration from North Central College. She currently serves as Chairwoman on the city’s Housing Advisory Commission and is Advisory Board Supervisor for Sigma Kappa Sorority at Northern Illinois University. Originally from Michigan, but has called Naperville home for over 10 years.
Chad Pedigo is a proud resident of Naperville, and an advocate for the local community. With a strong passion for developing leadership, volunteerixs, and helping others Chad performs a variety of leadership roles with local service organizations and not-for-profits such as the Naperville Jaycees and Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network. His passion is working with local causes to promote doing good for those who need it most. Chad’s professional focus is disrupting the cycle of poverty and assisting the residents of DuPage County as Special Events Manager at Bridge Communities. With an eclectic education and background focused in Leadership, Education, Development and the Arts, Chad is always looking for innovative and creative ways to partner and work together to create positive change in our local community.
